Schedule a visit to our ranch in Weatherford, TX, or arrange a video call to see the pony in person. We want you to feel 100% confident in your choice.

Reserve Your Pony

Once you've decided, we'll reserve the pony for you. A deposit secures your purchase while we prepare all necessary paperwork and health certificates.

Complete Payment

We'll contact you to arrange final payment. We accept bank transfers, certified checks, and major credit cards. Payment must be received before delivery.

Delivery or Pickup

Choose to pick up your pony at our ranch or use our nationwide delivery service. We coordinate safe, stress-free transport to your location.

Payment Process

At Lone Star Pony Ranch, we believe in personal service and transparency. That's why we handle all payments manually to ensure every transaction is secure and properly documented.

After you reserve a pony, we'll contact you to discuss payment options
We accept bank transfers, certified checks, cashier's checks, and major credit cards
A non-refundable deposit (typically 20-30%) secures your pony
Final payment is due before delivery or pickup
You'll receive a detailed purchase agreement and bill of sale

Important: We do not process payments automatically through our website. This allows us to personally verify every transaction, answer your questions, and ensure a smooth, secure purchase experience.

Located in Weatherford, TX, but buying from out of state? No problem. We coordinate professional, door-to-door equine transport across the United States.

We stand behind the health and soundness of every pony we sell. Before leaving our ranch, each pony receives:

Do you ship ponies out of state?

Yes! We coordinate professional equine transport nationwide. Shipping costs are quoted based on distance and are the buyer's responsibility. We work with trusted transport companies to ensure your pony arrives safely and stress-free.

Can I visit the ranch before buying?

Absolutely! We encourage visits. Please schedule an appointment so we can give you our full attention and show you the pony you're interested in. We're located in Weatherford, TX, about 30 minutes west of Fort Worth.

Are your ponies registered?

Yes, all our ponies come with full registration papers from their respective breed associations (Welsh Pony and Cob Society, AQHA, etc.). Registration papers are transferred to you at the time of sale.

What vaccinations do your ponies have?

All ponies receive core vaccinations including Eastern/Western Encephalomyelitis, Tetanus, West Nile Virus, and Rabies. We follow AAEP guidelines and provide complete vaccination records with each purchase.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

We don't offer in-house financing, but we can connect you with equine financing companies that specialize in horse purchases. Many of our buyers use these services to spread payments over 5-10 years.

What if the pony doesn't work out?

We have a 72-hour health guarantee. If a veterinarian finds a serious health issue within 72 hours of purchase, we'll work with you to resolve it. After that, all sales are final. We thoroughly vet each pony and match them carefully to ensure the right fit.

Can you send me videos of the pony?

Yes! We're happy to send personalized videos of any pony you're interested in. Just contact us and let us know which pony and what you'd like to see (tacking up, riding, ground work, etc.). We'll send you a video via email or text.

Do you offer training lessons?

We don't offer regular lessons, but we provide a thorough handover when you purchase a pony. We'll show you how to handle, tack up, and ride your new pony, and we're always available by phone for questions after the sale.
